Locksmith (Posted on 2008-12-19) Difficulty: 2 of 5
K, the Key, is to be moved to contact L, the Latch, so as to move it totally into the grey area.

Locked
K L
Open

L

1 3
2 8 9 10
K 5 L
4 6 11
7

The object again is to move K to dislodged L. The "tumblers", the numbered blocks, are only to slide in the direction of their respective lengths.

How might you accomplish this?

Note: the black areas are void space.

(In reply to re(3): Any mistake? (possible spoiler) - I forgot the 6 by Charlie)

The 6 is slided horizontally two "squares" (one of them left by the "5" and the other which already existed).

Since the "7" moved 2 squares to the left (one of them left by the "4"), the 8 & 9 can move down two squares.
