Believe it or not, W.G. wrote to his blind date describing himself:
"…Eyes I have two, ears likewise, fingers I have twenty five
on the right hand, same on the left hand plus ten on my legs…"
Provide a possible explanation to the above.

..... but then he may have made a typographical omission, "ten toes on my legs."  What was his sobriety when he wrote, failing to reread his composition?
