The transliterated phrase, if written in Greek, is a palindrome.
The string of Greek alphabetical characters - with spaces, punctuation, letter case, and diacritic differences
ignored - the phrase is symmetrical by character - thus, a palindrome.

Νίψον ἀνομήματα, μὴ μόναν ὄψιν

A translation of the phrase is ""Wash the sins, not only the face."
The phrase has been found inscribed upon various baptismal and holy water fonts.
