What is the only word in the English language that when capitalized is changed from a noun or a verb to a nationality?
John McLaughlin interrupted a McLaughlin Group show once to state: "I regret that a panel member used the word 'welsh' as synonymous with 'going back on one's word'. People of Welsh heritage rightfully resent that use of the word." John McLaughlin was right, because it is hurtful to use a national name like that, and I think we should scotch all attempts by anyone to do so !!
