Liar or not? (Posted on 2002-11-12) Difficulty: 3 of 5
A man walks up to you and says:
"Everything I say to you is a lie."

Is he telling you the truth or is he lying?

You are making the incorrect assumption that if the statement

"I always do X"
is a lie, than the statement

"I never do X"

must be true.

For example, if I tell you that in high school, I got all "A"s, that would be a lie. However, that doesn't mean that I *NEVER* got "A"s in high shcool.
