Argentine, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic and Equator competed at the Olympic Games, placing first through fifth in an event. They said:
Argentine: "I was not last."
Brazil: "Canada got the bronze."
Canada: "Argentine ended behind Equator."
Dominican Republic: "Equator got silver."
Equator: "Dominican Republic didn't get gold."
The gold and silver winners lied, but the other three told the truth. How did the event end?
Did anyone else approach the presence of the two different "C" countries (Colombia at the top and Canada in the quotes) as intentional? My solution was similar to those posted, however, my first assumption was that Brazil's statement was false because Columbia, not Canada, finished in the top 5. The order I arrived at: Brazil, Dominican Rep, Equator, Argentine, Columbia -- same as others posted except for Columbia rather than Canada in 5th.
