One Word, Seven Times (Posted on 2005-01-27) Difficulty: 5 of 5
"Dog dog dog dog dog dog dog."

While dog-lovers rejoice at the above statement, grammarians hang their heads in shame, as the statement is not a grammatically correct sentence.

Replace "dog" with a word that will satisfy the grammarians. You may not add any additional words or punctuation.

I believe the answer to be "and"

Imagine a headline that read " Two New Films - The King And I and Jack And Jill"

Now in theory, the editor could say something like "Please increase the space between the words and and and and and and and"  Meaning the space between "And I And" and "and Jack And"

Some people may say that the sentance would require commas, but I don't think that this is a requirement, just something that would help!
