The sum of two positive numbers is 1068 and their Highest Common Factor is 89. How many pairs of such numbers are there?

If their GCF is 89 they must have 89 as a factor.

Thus 89*a+89*b=89*12

a and b are relatively prime implies one = 5*89 and one = 7*89
