On a working escalator, one man walking down it took 50 steps. Another man, walking three times faster, took 75 steps.
How many steps would each man take going down the same escalator during a power outage?
wells. the first guy could have been walking down a downriding escalator... and took 50 steps...
the other guy, was walking in the opposing direction of the escalator, though not specified in the question... showing why he was walking faster, but took more steps as compared to the first guy.
during a power outage, the escalators would not be moving, and since the second guy likes walking fast, he would reach the end when the first guy is one third down it?
