Hole-some Countries (Posted on 2007-01-16) Difficulty: 3 of 5
There are five countries whose names, when spelt out in capital letters, have no enclosed spaces within the letters.

Find them.

For instance, FRANCE is not acceptable because both the R and the A have enclosed areas, while LEVIK, if it was a country, has no enclosed areas and so would be acceptable.

I am surprised there are only five countries. 3 of the vowels and 16 consonants have no enclosed spaces. that is a majority of the letters but there are still only 5 country names. And of the most common RSTLNE only R has enclosed spaces.
