K, the Key, is to be moved to contact L, the Latch, so as to move it totally into the grey area.

The object again is to move K to dislodged L. The "tumblers", the numbered blocks, are only to slide in the direction of their respective lengths.
How might you accomplish this?

But 8 and 9 can't move down without 6 moving out of the way (or 3 moving out of the way if the proposed direction is up). 6 can't move far enough to allow 8 and 9 to move down far enough for K to move.
