Eight Words
After just 6 button presses return this grid to a position where four words can be read horizontally and four vertically.
Report your button presses and the 8 words found.
The "R" button resets the grid.
I agree we face a combinatorial explosion here, and I may just skip this one, but in any case I want to be sure I understand the way this works (I'm not familiar with this type of puzzle).
Is it the case that when pressing any one of the 16 arrow buttons, that that entire line moves 1 square in the direction of the arrow, and the entry furthest from the arrow button wraps to become the first (next to the arrow).
Also I do not understand the function of the "R"/reset button. What does it do? If there is any usage, does using that button count as one of the six presses? I assume that we are looking for 8 words all appearing on the final state (not intermediate words which might come about). Does it do something AFTER the six arrow presses ("after just 6 button presses return this grid to a position where...") ?? What "return"?
I notice there are only six vowels, but each letter is used twice (horizontal and vertical), but don't see how this helps very much. m
