I was treating my French friend to a glass of Jack Daniel's - straight, no water, no chaser. After my short "Cheers!" he wrote me the following note: " Je bis à vore." What message did he try to convey?

Je vis a boire. 

?I live to drink?

Spoonerism is a common speaking error while drinking too much, in any language.  Though in this case, he was writing a note.
