The following are identities involving spelled out numbers, each of which is encrypted in terms of a simple substitution cipher. Each of these numbers is
less than one hundred.
For example, when decrypted: one + two = three and, (two)*(three) - one = five are valid identities. However, words like
double,
triple,
unit,
unity,
dozen are not allowed.
Decrypt the following to formulate each of these identities:
- (yes)*(with) = (early)*(wave)
- (ore)* (ratio) = (per)*(ration)
- (faced)*(ego) = (most)*(elated)
- paper – end = (table)*(cam)
- (cock)*(for) - this = total
- (fever)*(fly) – not = sting
- (for)*(some) = new + stand
1. (TEN)*(FOUR) = (EIGHT)*(FIVE)
2. (TEN)*(EIGHT) = (ONE)*(EIGHTY)
3. (SIXTY)*(TWO) = (FOUR)*(THIRTY)
4. FIFTY - TWO = (EIGHT)*(SIX)
5. (NINE)*(SIX) - FOUR = FIFTY
6. (SEVEN)*(SIX) - TWO = FORTY
7. (SIX)*(FIVE) + TEN = FORTY
