I have not discounted revisiting regions, I haven't found good reason to do so (additions to the journey); apply the concept if you find value.

"Alternate" moves was teased in the queue and meant to be every second move, like 1, 3, 5, ...   or 2, 4, 6, ....   Your observation in parenthesis is therefore true.
