Another reason for selecting solar bast is it's the only one with an unusual word, also that word (bast:  fibrous material from the phloem of a plant, used as fiber in matting, cord, etc.) can't really be associated with its companion word, solar, as readily as the other word pairings. In fact, I had originally read it as solar blast. But that wouldn't anagram to albatross.
