I was treating my French friend to a glass of Jack Daniel's - straight, no water, no chaser.
After my short "Cheers!" he wrote me the following note:
" Je bis à vore."
What message did he try to convey?

Je bois sans eau à votre santé
I drink without water to your health (ie, an alcoholic beverage).
"sans eau" means without water,
but it also sounds like "bois sans 'o' ", without the letter 'o'. Thus "bois" becomes "bis" after removing an 'o'
votre santé means your health,
but it also sounds like "votre sans 't' ", or the word "votre" without the letter 't'. Thus "votre" becomes "vore".
I drink (without 'o') to your (without 't')
