Charlie! As always, kudos for your excellent and accurate solution!!

I deeply regret my inadvertent omisision in  the problem text which should have stated " the ellipsis dots can assume any given value whether same or different"

So, N= 9712197 is the required minimum value!

I gleaned this problem from a website dealing  inter-alia with Math Olympiad problems of a similar nature. Obviously their answer of N= 9,731,999,999,997 was erroneous. It seems even these math experts can commit lacunae in the solution text leading to an erroneous answer!!

Hopefully, an analytical explanation for this will be posited by someone in the comments.

Regards,
K Sengupta
