Trading cards (Posted on 2002-05-03) Difficulty: 3 of 5
A trading card series has 200 different cards in it, which are sold in 5-card packages.

Each package has a random sampling of the cards (assume that any card of the 200 has an equal chance of being in a package).

On the average, how many packages will need to be bought to collect the complete series if...

  • A: all the cards in a package will always be different
  • B: a package can have repeats

    Trading online Comment 39 of 39 |
Trading cards are a huge part of gaming culture. They've existed for decades, with the basic concept being that the players have to have something in common with their opponent to trust them enough to trade. These days, trading cards are used for everything. Need to follow this briansclub and get more new tips for bitcoin business. In the olden days, you had to travel miles to get your favorite trading cards. You had to stand in long lines or jump in a truck and drive to the nearest sports card store. These days we can get them online, but they aren't the same.
