If moving every nine to the left ended infinity (talk of oxymorons!), where do you think it would end it at? Is there some special finite number that is equal to ∞-1?
What's infinity-1? Infinity! If everything moves over to the left, it does not end infinity, because infinity by definition never ends, no matter how much you subtract or add. Also, 36.00000...1 would have infinite 0's, making so there is actually no 1 that would ever appear in the number. So, 36.0000...1 is equal to 36 anyway.
