e^x (Posted on 2005-03-12) Difficulty: 2 of 5
This sequence isn't very hard to figure out. What are the next numbers in the following sequence?

42,39,36,30,16,6,3,1,-6,?,?,?

-13,-24,-27.
The title, "e to the x", is the big clue. Each number is the distance between the "x" in "next" and each of the "e"s not including spaces and punctuation.
