Sylvester and Chuck are a perfect match for Arnold and Steven.

But if Chuck and Arnold exchange places, Sylvester and Arnold together can decisively beat Chuck and Steven.

i use the term B her to indicate 'barely'

so from the first we have

C = Sy + St - B

moving to the second and substituting

Sy + ( Sy + St - B) = A + St

A= 2Sy - B

Sy + A > C + St

Sy + (2Sy - B) > ( Sy + St - B) + St

3Sy - B > Sy +2St - B

2Sy > 2St

Sy > St  ie. Sylvester is stronger thaN sTEVE

now since

C = Sy + St - B

and

A = 2 Sy - B

A is stronger than C because Sy is Stronger than St

Since C = Sy + St - B, C is stronger than both individually

so

we have

Arnold is stronger than everyone

C is stronger than Sy and St

Sy is stronger than St

St is weaker than everyone

Sy is weaker than C & A

and C is weaker than A
