Make the longest word you can make out of these six letters:
A, E, I, N, S, T.
Rules:
- No letter may be used twice.
- No other letter or symbol may be used.
- It must be a common English word.
- No proper nouns.
[BAD solution....Uses letters other than the six given. I thought the puzzle meant "has to use those six letters - but can use others...." That was my fault, not the fault of the original wording of the puzzle.]
Darn, I didn't even notice this was in the TRICKS thread.
If the puzzle allows the "tricks" interpretation "must include A, E, I, N, S, T, but no letter anywhere in the word can be used EXACTLY twice", then the longest common word (you often encounter it in the newspapers) is: deinstitutionalizing (20 letters).
That's also the longest word I found if the "not exactly twice" rule is applied just to the six letters.
