Some (not so important) remarks:

1. I wanted to make the problem challenging and therefore avoided too obvious definitions e.g. "king of animals" or "the only  prime palindrome" - GOOB clearly was not immediately found as adequate.

2. GOOSE  is a 5-digit number and therefore does not qualify as a product of a  3-digit number  by  one-digit number.

3. IMHO the riddle is solvable  with the known words GET, MY, GIRO,  Gxxx & GUMBO  and with some extra effort - one can get the names without solving the alphametics.
