fwaff laughed: "the word 'english' has no meaning in English -it's a US English word."

But when the puzzle says "the English language", maybe it means "the language used by American basketball player Alex English". He always put great english on the ball. Formerly of the Bucks, Pacers, Nuggets and Mavericks, Alex English was the first NBA player to score 2,000 points in eight straight seasons. He now coaches.
