A horse of a different color (Posted on 2006-09-26)
A native, either a knight or a liar, once pointed to a man sitting below a tree and told me "If asked, that man would say I'm not the same type as he is."
No matter what combination they are (knight/knight, knight/liar, and so on) the problem is always impossible... unless, of course, the man was a mute, so he couldn't say anything, thus making the native a liar -- we cannot tell what the man is.
Of course, another possibility is that I am a liar, and the story did never happen!
